TV Script Writing
A punchy, professional script is one of the cornerstones of great TV.
But good writing is hard. And exceptional writing is a highly specialised skill.
My niche talent lies in scripting lifestyle TV programs in which presenters are front and centre.
A presenter’s job is to have a conversation with their audience in everyday, down to earth language. Authentic dialogue that resonates with viewers.
Using this approach, I have successfully written for TV programs including Fresh TV (Seven Network) Caravan and Camping WA (Seven Network) and New Homes Guide TV (Nine Network). I’ve also scripted TV specials on sprint car racing and tarmac car rallying.
I relish the challenge of making lifestyle TV watchable - and therefore profitable – by crafting genuine sounding, engaging scripts tailored to a presenter’s unique style and vibe.
To me, every unwritten script – and sentence, in fact – is a word sudoku waiting to be solved. And I do solve them, because I have a confident grasp of the English language, I know what sounds right and I never give up and say, “Ah, that’ll do”. Even when it comes to the tough stuff, like promos and pointers.
The right words will always hook viewers in, keep them interested and get results.
Here’s some of my work in action.
